With a heavy guard of paramilitary Thai rangers, and the conspicuous presence of a number of Phnom Penh troops, the group of Thai parliamentarians were allowed to cross the border to tour the site, thanks to the easing of tension between Bangkok and Phnom Penh that consequently brought about closer cooperation between soldiers of the two sides in the sides in the field.
