The US has urged Asean to continue economic sanctions against Iraq. In his opening address to the ninth Asean- US Dialogue in Bangkok yesterday, Assistant secretary of state for East Asian and Pacific Affairs Richard Solomon said the US attaches very high priority to compliance with the economic sanctions mandated by the UN Security council.
