Main Crime Details :
Homicide:

In May 1977, three Khmer Rouge soldiers (unknown names) came to arrest my husband, Aok Eng, one day at 4 p.m. I witnessed the scene. It was at Tuol Ma-tes Construction Site near Cheung Tinh Mountain in Koh Krala District. My husband was sent to Phnom Athepatei Security Center in Battambang Province. He was arrested because he was an educated man. He taught the Khmer Rouge cadres how to use machinery and soon after they acquired this knowledge, he was murdered. There were many eyewitnesses who knew about the arrest of my husband, namely Tep Sarun and Vanna, who are both still alive.

My siblings Roeung Kung, Roeung Kin and Roeung Phon were killed by the Khmer Rouge. Roeung Kung was arrested at Tuol Ma-tes Construction Site in Koh Krala District, Battambang Province. In 1977, Roeung Kin was captured at the Cooperative located in Thmei Village, Thmei Commune, Kandal Stung District. There was only one captor (unknown name). Roeung Kin was then sent to Tuol Sala Prison located in Anlung Ro-meath Village, Anlung Ro-meath Commune, Kandal Province. Angkar accused him of stealing chicken eggs. In October 1976, Roeung Phon was captured in Koh Krala District of Battambang Province. There were five militiamen who took him away to be killed because he was suspected of being a CIA agent.

Besides the deaths of my siblings, I also witnessed the Khmer Rouge slaughter 49 people. After executing these people, the Khmer Rouge militiamen ordered me and other people in the youth unit to help bury the victims’ bodies. This occurred in Battambang Province.
Other Crime :
Evacuation and Loss of Property:

I was evacuated from Phnom Penh on 17 April 1975. I then stayed in my home village for around nine months before being transferred to Battambang Province in 1976. Living conditions there were harsh. I lost personal property, including a house in Phnom Penh, gold which was confiscated soon after my arrival in Battambang Province, and other valuable things. This took place in Tuol Ma-tes Village of Koh Krala District. The cooperative chief, Von, and militiamen confiscated my property. Angkar told us that all property would now be held as collective property.
