Cambodia, impoverished and still denied economic aid by the west, is feeling the pinch of drastic reductions in the Soviet aid that has kept it afloat through 12 years of civil war. Shortages of Soviet medicines and personnel have reduced by half the number of people treated at the Khmer Soviet Friendship Hospital.
