As befits the capital's prestige social venue, Phnom Penh's Cambodian Hotel provides a salubrious setting for nightly dancing and revelry. Patrons, obliged to leave weapons outside, are free to enjoy the local rock music, spend hundreds of dollars on alcohol and then indulge in an amorous dalliance in air-conditioned bedrooms for which normal guests pay around $100 a night.
