Ngieng Vann Tung, sergeant, battalion 8, regiment 977, division 331, arrested in Krek district, Kampong Cham province, on September 22, 1978 confessed that on September 22, 1978 his division 331 entered to fight the Kampuchea at the road 17, but it was ambushed by the Kampuchea soldiers; moreover, his battalion 8 was completely destroyed in Krek district, Kampong Cham province.
ងៀង វ៉ាន់ទុង ពលទោផ្កាយ ១ វរសេនាតូចលេខ ៨ វរសេនាធំ ៩៧៧ កងពលលេខ ៣៣១ ចាប់ខ្លួននៅថ្ងៃទី២២-៩-១៩៧៨ នៅក្រែក កំពង់ចាម បានសារភាពថា នៅថ្ងៃទី២២-១០-១៩៧៨ កងពលរបស់ខ្លួនបានចូលវាយកម្ពុជាតាមផ្លូវលេខ១៧ ហើយត្រូវបាន កងទ័ពកម្ពុជាស្ទាក់វាយជាប់ ហើយវរសេនាតូចរបស់ខ្លួនត្រូវបាន កំទេចទាំងស្រុងនៅក្រែក កំពង់ចាម។
