In his two years as charge d' Affaires, fielding has acquitted himself with very great skill and good amour. in circumstances which have been far from easy he has nursed British/Cambodian relations back from their 1964, low point to a state of normality. Though frequently a thorn in their sides, the communist diplomatic have had to respect his ability and the French to concede their admiration.
