Summary / Abstract :
|
The Kingdom of Cambodia has an area of about 70, 000 square miles. It is bounded on the north by Laos. on the east by south vietnam, on the south by the gulf Siam. and on the west by Thailand. Cambodia is constitution monarchy, but the throne has been vacant since the death of kingdom Suramrit in 1960. In his stead his son Prince Norodom Sihanouk has been declared Head of State. Executive authority is vested in the Head of State and the council of ministers. Legislative authority rests with the uni-cameral national assembly, elected by universal suffrage. and with council of kingdom, a house of review party nominated and partly elected on a restricted franchise.
