Summary / Abstract :

Main points of interest were: 1) Appointment of Dr. Vien minister if education of Vietnam as president of council. 2) Re appointment of general netr as director for another year.
3) Khmer Republic was unanimously admitted to membership of seamec. 4) '' Associate membership'' status was established. The council considered that this would remove in an obstacle to greater financial support from Japan. The Japanese observe was non-commital on whethre non-membership was, in fact an obstacle, and on whether Japan would seek associate membership. |
