"Thailand can not and will not recognize Peking as long the latter does not show any friendly disposition towards this country" Foreign minister Thanat stated in a press interview on 02 December. Thailand had had correct and friendly relations with nationalist China and did not see any reason for casting away something use full for something the Thais did not know about, with reference to the "Two China"concept, Thanat said it would no works because it is not accepted either by Peking or nationalist China.
