On 11th February 1966, Prince Sihanouk addressed a telegram to French minister for army, Mr Pierre Messmer, expressing Cambodia's appreciation for a recent french decisions to give 50 Jeeps and 50 trucks on military aid to Cambodia. '' I also want to restate to our great french friends our aid permits us to preserve our place (our independence our neutrality''.
