The French foreign ministry issued a communique on 21 August of which relevant extracts are the followings:
"The french government has place no particular conditions on the arrival in France of Prince Sihanouk.. other than those applied to all for foreigners in France, notably the obligation not to engage in political activities''. the communique also confirmed that there had been no consultation with the Vietnamese authorities about Sihanouk. |
