Since Sihanouk's departure on August 20, there has been little here of political interest. The Sim Var government is working steadily through its arrears of accumulated work and the cabinet meets every morning. While view major decisions are likely to be taken in the Prince's absence at least effect can be taken in the already made, and administration can proceed without the usual distractions and excitements.
