Swezey (Thai Affairs) told us 16 January that while the state Department was naturally pleased at conclusion of thai-Cambodia agreement in New York on 15 December (UN. New York' 1633 and previous telegram) it did not necessary follow that permanent improvement in relations between the two countries would necessarily follow.
