Reference is made to our memorandum 433 of 21 September 1977.
The federal political department advised on 17 October that Dr Thaing Chanthou arrived in Switzerland in April 1975, applied for asylum on 02 September 1975, and was granted asylum later in the same year. The political department said that the police had in fact had previous contact with thaing. |
