In response to our request on August 8, for advise of Cambodian Government's reaction to visit of congressman Sikes, Acting Director of Political Affair in Foreign Ministry said that proposal was still with Sihanouk. He regretted delay but drew attention to Sihanouk's preoccupation in last week with formation of new government and renewed his promise to advise us as soon as Sihanouk's reaction was known.
