State Department (Askew) told us on August 24 that clandestine Anti-Sihanouk radio had been monitored by US as recently as last week. Question of radio had been raised during Sihanouk - Diem meeting and although Cambodian had not made an issue of it there was little doubt that this continued operation could set back favorable atmosphere created by Diem - Sihanouk meeting.
