He said that Lon Nol is not a always in full control of his faculties and is inclined to periods of Buddhist mysticism which allows his brother Lon Nol to assert himself increasingly. Sirik Matak seemed to be under a sort of house arrest but Green did not think that Lon Nol would take drastic action against him because he knew Sirik Matak was highly regarded by the Americans.
