I had assumed that the Pakistan Government had never withdrawn recognition from Sihanouk, as Sarin Chhak although resident in Cairo, was Cambodian Ambassador to his country well into 1971 at least, and I recalled that Pakistan had challenged the Lon Nol representatives credentials on several occasions at the UN.
