My name is Touch Chen and I am currently living in Boeng Ka-ek Village, Prek Roka Commune, Kandal Stung District, Kandal Province.
Execution of elder brother, Touch Sok, in Sang Prison: During the farming season of 1977, my elder brother Touch Sok was arrested and held for execution in Sang Security Office by a unit chief named Von. At around 8 p.m., Von escorted my elder brother and other people from the unit to Sang Security Office, which was located near the Bati River in Trea Commune, Kandal Stung District, Kandal Province. My mother witnessed Von leading my elder brother and other detainees to Sang Prison. The Khmer Rouge accused my elder brother of being a lieutenant or major lieutenant during the former regime. In truth, he was a simple farmer. My mother told me the story. Part C: My name is Touch Chen, and I am currently living in Boeng Ka-ek Village, Prek Roka Commune, Kandal Stung District, Kandal Province. When I found out that my elder brother Touch Sok had been executed by the Khmer Rouge, I felt a great deal of pity for him. My elder brother was a gentle man and never caused any trouble when he was alive. My parents were very heartsick. They were not able to help their son but were forced to stand idly by and watch him being executed by the Khmer Rouge. Even now, I still grieve for him whenever I think of him. If he were still alive, our lives would be happier because we could live together as a family. |
