Ministry of Foreign Affairs, (Bolle) said today, 07 September, that situation in Cambodia continued to be bad but had not worsened to any great degree, a part from the president attack on Kampong Cham. It will be significant psychological rather than strategic gain for the other side. Bolle said that it was interesting to see that the government forces had been able to maintain effective resistance since the cessation of U.S. aerial bombing. This might indicate, he thought that the other side was not as strong as many believed.
