I told Dr. Cairns that we had received a cable from Peking in which it was stated that Ngo Pin, a member of the proposed GRUNK delegation to visit Australia, had told Mr. Cottvill that arrangements for the visit were being handled ast this end by Dr. Cairns himself. I said that the Prime Minister regarded the visit as a private visit and that we needed to know the facts of the situation, as our understanding was that Mr. Ken Mcleod of the association of international co-operation and disarmament (AICD) was responsible for the arrangements at the Australian end.
