Summary / Abstract :

With reference to the Press report that the Cambodian delegation to the Untied Nations has sent a statement to other delegations, with an informal note on the Cambodian claim for Phra Vihear, now held by Thailand, to the effect that Thailand tool it over in 1949, though French-Thai treaty and related map put it in Cambodia, and that Cambodia's policy is to Press its claim through bilateral negotiation and appeal to the international court only if those failed, adding that their failure is now manifest: The ministry of foreign affairs bereby states that this matter of Khao Phra Vihar did not arise between Thailand and French in the colonial period.
