Relations with United States
Although the anti-American campaign has continues unabated in the vernacular press, there seemed until some days a go to be some promise of genuine improvement in Cambodia relations with the United States. When the American ambassador saw the King and queen on 2nd April (presumably at the same tim as young's audience, reported in Saigon savingram 34 of 7th April) he gave them an assurance that the United States government respected and would continue to respect Cambodian neutrality, and would continues economic and military aid. |
