Ly Try worked as a taxi driver in 1973 in Trapeang Sva Village, Trea Subdistrict, Kandal Stung District, Kandal Province. In the same year, he was imprisoned in Sang prison for three months. Fortunately, his uncle called Sa Paot helped him out of the prison. Ly Try has lost three of his brothers in the Khmer Rouge Regime. It was heard that, three of them were sent to kill. Ly Try did not have enough food to eat and had such a difficult time in the Khmer Rouge period. Nowaday, he finds it is difficult to do his daily work. He wanted to have a Khmer Rouge tribunal. He finds that the publishment of Searching for The Truth magazine is useful.
