Foreign Minister Mau told me 19 June that the Vietnamese charge in Phnom Penh had been instructed to advice the Cambodia authorities that president Diem was in principle prepared to meet Sihanouk in Vietnam. He did not mention a specific date, but indicated that if the meeting were arranged it might be held in July and at Dalat.
