Status of Roads:
It was officially announced on 05 March that 31 miles of road in North Vietnam had been built or repaired during 1956, more than 2,000 miles of road have now been rehabilitated or constructed since January 1955. In this work of improving the road network attention appears to have been concentrated upon those roads that give access to the China, Laos and South Vietnam border areas. |
