At a gathering to listen to the radio "Voice of the Kampuchean People", Chey Tarut, a young man of 19 said: My father was beaten to death by black uniform soldiers (of the Pol Pot Army). In the past I hated all armed people but now I have been that it is heoessary to take arms to fight the Pol Pot-Ieng Sary clique of traitors if our people are to have peace, I have volunteered to join the revolutionary army".
