We had an unexpected telephone message from premier Chou En-Lai's office to say he would expect me at 06: 30 PM. at the Great Hall of the people . Jenkins, Hodridge, Platt and I were overjoyed to respond to this, and presented ourselves on time. We started off being photographed with him and his companies before setting down to a fairly intimate conversation.
