I am Mam Khin, a 58 year-old currently living in Kraing Ma-kak Village, Roluos Commune, Kandal Stung District, Kandal Province.
Sang Prison: In 1976, my elder sister-in-law Ouch Ros, her daughter Mam Sary, and a neighbor Chann Sopheap were arrested, sent for re-education at Sang Prison, and later executed there. I don’t know why my sister-in-law and her daughter were arrested and executed in Sang Prison, but I learned about it from Chann Sopheap, who lives in Krapeu Trom Village, Roluos Commune, Kandal Stung District, Kandal Province. I know they were executed in Sang Prison, but I don’t know who killed them. |

Disappearance:
In 1973, my elder brother, Chhim Chhorn, a captain in the Military Police, disappeared. I don’t know whether he is alive or dead. Starvation: In 1976, I was starved because I hid rice for my children. Sann, a cadre who was in charge of food rations, discovered that I was hiding rice and starved me as punishment. I argued with Sann and he therefore refused to give me lunch. In the same year, my elder brother, Mam Y, died of hunger. He was hospitalized because he was ill, so he therefore could not work. Anyone who did not work was not allowed to eat. He died in Battambang Province. I don’t know why he was starved or who starved him. Hy Srun, my brother-in-law, told me about the death of my elder brother. Hy Srun currently lives in Ta Phen Village, Kambo Commune, Ang Snuol District, Kandal Province. Part C: I am Mam Khin, a 58 year-old currently living in Kraing Ma-kak Village, Roluos Commune, Kandal Stung District, Kandal Province. I continue to suffer from the deaths of my relatives. Whenever I recall what happened to them, I suffer from insomnia and stomachache. I went to see the doctor at January 1979 Hospital (the current Preah Keto Meala Hospital) three years ago; however, I did not maintain the prescription. Nowadays, I still suffer from insomnia and stomachache. |
