When I saw Thanat today I referred to his comments to the press that talks in New York had run into difficulties and I expressed disappointment at this. He said that he was also disappointed especially as, after several concessions on the Thai side, most matters had been settled. The difficulty had arisen because of Cambodian demand that San Sary and Siep should be "handed over" by the Thai government.
