Statement by the Foreign Minister of Sweden 8/1/1979: We hope that the Indochinese states should get peace at last, when foreign intervention cease in 1975. That hope has not been fulfilled. The Swedish public has been disturbed by the violation of Human rights in Kampuchea. All foreign intervention, however, contradicts the UN charter and make a treat to the interests of small states. This is strand point that Sweden in all contexts has safeguarded.
