26 year old Shantini was one of the first survivors to return to Phnom Penh after the fall of the Khmer Rouge. This film includes a clip of when the young woman returned to an empty ancestral house after years under the Pol Pot regime, gathered her remaining belongings, and meaningful family items and left to start a new life. Today, she is a senior officer with the Red Cross in Cambodia.
