Others Crime
Additional information collected on March 23, 2010: In 1977, I served in a mobile work brigade, comprised of three special units. There were twelve people in each unit, and my unit was supervised by Hann. From my recollection, Tres was a unit chief. The three special units were sent to build the 6 January Dam in Kampong Thom. While we were building the dam and the opening gate of the dam, the Khmer Rouge kept an eye on us. At that time, when people returned from work and saw the bloodstains on the hoes and the sticks of the hoes I overheard the security police inform them that those people were being taken for training at another location. Like other group members, I was made to carry two cubic meters per day. After finishing this assigned task, [we] were forced to complete additional work. Therefore, we worked from morning to late nighttime and had nothing to eat, except a tin of rice soup. Everyone was exhausted, but forced to continue working.
